The THX SETUP menu can be used to configure the MAIN AUDIO
OUTPUTS for a THX-certified speaker system. For a non-THX-
certified speaker system, use the CUSTOM SETUP menu (see page
3-18). When THX SETUP is selected, a message will appear
cautioning that, if the right MENU arrow is pressed again, the
MAIN AUDIO OUTPUTS will automatically change to a THX
speaker configuration. This will override custom speaker settings
that have been chosen. Press the right MENU arrow to activate a
THX speaker configuration. Press the left MENU arrow to cancel
THX speaker configuration and return to the SPEAKER SETUP menu.
If a THX speaker configuration is activated, the THX SETUP menu
will display the THX configuration settings. The unit will
automatically set all outputs to THX 80Hz with a 12dB per octave
filter. The only exceptions are SUB L/R and LFE. SUB L/R will be set
to MONO (see page 3-22) and LFE will be set to OFF (see page
3-23). THX speaker configuration applies to all inputs and
listening modes.
