How to fix an LG Monitor when nothing is displayed on the screen?

  If your LG Monitor displays nothing on the screen, first, ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet. Test the outlet with another device like a lamp. Then, check the power cable connection to the monitor and press the power button. Also, verify that the correct input is enabled in the monitor's menu (Menu > Quick Settings > Input). If the monitor is in sleep mode, move the mouse or press a key. Finally, ensure your computer is turned on. Check the cable and reconnect it. DisplayPort 1.2 may not be supported depending upon the Mac product. Please contact the manufacturer. If the signals transferred from the PC are out of range, see the Product Specification section of this manual to set the appropriate frequency.

Why is there no sound from the headphone port on my LG 34UC80-B?

  If you are getting no sound from the headphone port on your LG Monitor, ensure the headphone port connections are properly made. Then, try increasing the volume using the joystick. Lastly, set the audio output of your PC to the monitor by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound and setting the Monitor as the default device on Microsoft Windows.

  If the display color on your LG Monitor is abnormal, try the following: First, set the color to 24 bit (true color) or higher by navigating to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Color Quality in Windows. Next, check the signal cable connection, reconnect it, or reinsert the PC's graphics card. Note that pixilated spots (red, green, blue, white, or black) may appear, which is normal and not a defect.

  If you see an "Unrecognized monitor, Plug and Play (VESA DDC) monitor found" message on your LG Monitor, install the display driver from the CD or diskette that came with your display.
