  If your LG Home Theater System doesn't start playback, make sure a disc is inserted and that the DVD or audio CD indicator is lit. Ensure you're using a playable disc, checking its type, color system, and regional code. Place the disc with the playback side down and correctly within the disc tray guide. Clean the disc if it's dirty. If a menu is on the TV screen, press the SETUP button to turn it off. If the Rating level is set, cancel the Rating function or change the rating level.

  If you hear a loud hum or noise from your LG Home Theater System, the disc may be dirty and needs cleaning. Check that the speakers and components are securely connected. Also, the unit might be too close to the TV; try moving the TV away from the audio components.
