4.8 Bluetooth
BCM2046 is a monolithic single-chip Bluetooth 2.1-compliant, stand-alone baseband processor with an
integrated 2.4GHz transceiver. It employs the highest level of integration and eliminates all critical external
components, thus minimizing the footprint and implementation cost of Bluetooth solutions.
The BCM2046 is the optimal solution for any voice and/or data application that requires the Bluetooth SIG
standard HCI controller interface(HCI) via UART, USB, or H5 and PCM audio interface support. The BCM2046
radio transceiver provides enhanced radio performance to meet the most stringent industrial temperature
applications or the tightest integration into mobile handsets and portable devices. It is fully compatible with
any of the standard TCXO frequency and provides full radio compatibility to operate simultaneously with GPS
and cellular radios.
