Here are a few potential reasons why your DVD player might not be starting: * The disc might be upside down. Insert the disc with the playback side facing down. * The disc might be unplayable. Ensure you are using a playable disc, checking the disc type and regional code. * The rating level might be set. Try changing the rating level. * The disc might have been recorded on another unit and not finalized. Finalize the disc on the original recording unit. * The remote control might not be pointed at the remote sensor on the player. Point the remote control directly at the player's remote sensor.

    • D
      Daniel MelendezAug 18, 2025
If your LG Home Theater System isn't playing sound, make sure the equipment connected with the audio cable is set to receive the disc signal output by selecting the correct input mode on the audio receiver. Also, verify that the connected equipment is powered on. The [AUDIO] options might be incorrectly configured (see page 25-26). Finally, if the player is in reverse play, fast forward, slow motion, or pause mode, return to normal playback.

If your LG Home Theater System shows no picture, first ensure your TV is set to the correct video input mode. If that doesn't work, check the video cable to make sure it's securely connected. Finally, the selected resolution might not be compatible with your TV, so try selecting a different resolution using the RESOLUTION button.

Why is the BD-Live feature not working on my LG Home Theater System?
    • R
      Ryan SmithSep 1, 2025
If the BD-Live feature on your LG Home Theater System isn't working, make sure an external USB device is connected. Ensure the connected USB device has at least 1GB of free space for BD-Live features. Verify that your unit is correctly connected to the local area network and can access the internet (see page 19-20). Check that the [BD-LIVE connection] option in the [Setup] menu is set to [Permitted]. If you're having trouble with YouTube videos, consider contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to increase your broadband speed. If the ID list is full, delete one of the stored IDs and sign in again.
