3. TECHNICAL BRIEF
3.13 Memory Interface
In E-GOLDvoice, the 16bits demultiplex X-bus interface is used for memory device support. NOR
Flash memory is supported. (The NAND Flash memory is not supported). The page mode can be
supported for flash memories. Up to 8MBytes of external RAM and/or ROM can be connected to the
MCU via its external bus interface.
Up to 3 external CS signals can be generated to save external glue logic. Access to very slow
memories is supported via a special ‘Ready’ function. The system MCU clock is set to run with 26Mhz.
