11. COMPONENT TESTING INFORMATION
11-1 Defrost Controller Assembly
Function The controller assembly is made up of two different kinds of parts. The fuse and the sensor.
To determine if these parts are defective, check for resistance. The fuse will cut power to the
defrost heater at very high temperatures.
How to
Measure
(Fuse-M)
Set a ohmmeter to the 2 housing pin.
Measure the 2 pin connected to Fuse-M.
If the ohmmeter indicate below 0.1ohm
fuse-m is a good condition, But if infinite the
part is bad.
How to
Measure
(Sensor)
Set a ohmmeter to The 2housing pin.
Measure the 2 pin connected to Sensor.
If the ohmmeter indicate 11㏀ (at room
temperature) Sensor is good.
When check the ohm at other temperatures
Check the sensor manual.
