Why is my LG LRMDC2306S Refrigerator not cooling?
    • S
      Scott HaleAug 10, 2025
Your LG Refrigerator might not be cooling because the refrigerator control is set to OFF; in this case, turn the control ON. It may also be in Demo Mode, which disables cooling to save energy. Another reason could be that the refrigerator is in the defrost cycle, during which the temperature may rise slightly; wait 30 minutes after the cycle. If the refrigerator was recently installed, it can take up to 24 hours to reach the desired temperature. Finally, if the refrigerator was recently relocated or stored on its side, allow it to stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power.

What to do if my LG LRMDC2306S icemaker is not making enough ice?
    • W
      watersjamesAug 18, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator icemaker isn't making enough ice, check the ice mode setting. If you are in 3 ICE mode, switch to 6 ICE mode for more ice production. Also, make sure your house water supply is connected with adequate pressure and the valve is fully open. Replacing the water filter approximately every six months, when the indicator turns on, when the water dispenser output decreases or when the ice cubes are smaller than normal is recommended. Low house water supply pressure could also be the reason; the water pressure must be between 20 and 120 psi (138 and 827 kPa) on models without a water filter and between 40 and 120 psi (276 and 827 kPa) on models with a water filter.

Why does the ice from my LG Refrigerator have a bad taste or odor?
    • K
      kathleenbennettAug 26, 2025
If the ice from your LG Refrigerator has a bad taste or odor, the water supply may contain minerals such as sulfur, and a water filter may need to be installed. If the icemaker was recently installed, throw away old ice and make a new supply. Ensure food is properly wrapped to prevent odors from migrating to the ice. Also, the interior of the refrigerator or the ice storage bin may need to be cleaned.

How to fix slow water dispensing in my LG LRMDC2306S?
    • A
      Alicia BishopSep 2, 2025
If water is dispensing slowly from your LG Refrigerator, the water filter may be exhausted and needs replacing approximately every six months, when the water filter indicator turns on, when the water dispenser output decreases or when the ice cubes are smaller than normal. A reverse osmosis filtration system can also reduce water pressure. Check that the water pressure is between 20 and 120 psi on models without a water filter and between 40 and 120 psi on models with a water filter.
