Why is my LG LRMDS3006 Refrigerator food freezing?
    • B
      blakeallenSep 12, 2025
If food is freezing in the refrigerator compartment of your LG Refrigerator, it could be because food with high water content was placed near an air vent; rearrange these items away from the vents. Check if the refrigerator temperature control is set too cold and adjust it one increment at a time, waiting for the temperature to stabilize. Also, the refrigerator should not be operated in temperatures below 55 °F (13 °C).

If your LG Refrigerator is not cooling or has no power, check the main electrical box and replace any blown fuses or reset the circuit breaker. Do not increase fuse capacity. If the control is set to OFF, turn it ON. If the refrigerator is in Demo Mode, see the FAQs section of this manual for instructions on how to disable it. Also, the refrigerator may be in the defrost cycle, so wait 30 minutes and confirm the proper temperature has been restored. If the refrigerator was recently installed, it may take up to 24 hours to reach the desired temperature. If it was recently relocated, let it stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power.
