Why LG MS3042G Microwave Oven does not work?
    • A
      anthonyyatesJul 29, 2025
Your LG Microwave Oven might not be working because it is not plugged in properly. Make sure the microwave oven plug is securely inserted. Also, avoid using other electrical appliances when you use the microwave oven.

How to repair LG MS3042G when it doesn't turn on?
    • M
      Mr. Jerry WilkersonAug 3, 2025
If your LG Microwave Oven does not operate at all, the display window shows no figures, and no input is accepted, this could be due to a malfunction of the monitor switch or a defective high voltage capacitor or transformer. Replace the fuse, primary, monitor, secondary switches, and RELAY(RY2) of P.C.B Assembly, or replace the high voltage capacitor, or replace the high voltage transformer.

Why is the output power too low on my LG MS3042G?
    • V
      Victoria DickersonAug 7, 2025
The output power of your LG Microwave Oven might be too low due to low AC input voltage. Use the microwave oven at adequate line voltage. It is also possible that the food temperature is too low, so the food should be cooked for a longer time period. This may not be a defect.

What to do if my LG MS3042G produces little heat?
    • J
      Joseph WilliamsAug 11, 2025
If your LG Microwave Oven seems to be operating but produces little heat, this could be due to lower than 90% of output rating voltage. It is suggested the customer contact local electric power utility co. or qualified electrician. It may also be caused by a defective PCB assembly or a defective magnetron, which would need to be replaced.

What to do if LG MS3042G Microwave Oven display is on, but it won't start?
    • S
      Stephanie DiazAug 16, 2025
If the display of your LG Microwave Oven shows all figures set, but the oven does not start cooking when the START pad is touched, this could be due to a defective secondary switch, PCB assembly, fan motor, or oven lamp. Any of these defective parts would need to be replaced.

What to do if my LG Microwave Oven is sparking?
    • C
      Courtney WilliamsAug 20, 2025
If your LG Microwave Oven is sparking, it could be due to using metallic ware or ceramic ware trimmed in gold or silver powder. Do not use metallic ware for cooking (unless noted in the cooking guide) or any type of cookware with metallic trimming. Sparks can also occur due to uneven cooking. To prevent this, use plastic wrap or a lid, and stir the food while cooking soup, cocoa, or milk.

How to fix LG MS3042G Microwave Oven with no oscillation, but lamp and fan run?
    • G
      George BurnsAug 25, 2025
If your LG Microwave Oven has no microwave oscillation, even though the oven lamp and fan motor run, this could be due to several defective components. These include the PCB assembly, high voltage transformer, high voltage capacitor, high voltage diode, or the magnetron. Each of these would need to be replaced.
