Function Description

The LG French Door Refrigerator is a counter-depth appliance with a bottom freezer and an internal water dispenser. It is designed for household and similar applications, including staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, and catering. The refrigerator features an automatic icemaker, including a Craft Ice™ icemaker that produces spherical ice, and a Cubed Mini Ice icemaker. Some models also include a Full-Convert Drawer™ with variable temperature control, allowing it to function as either a refrigerator or a freezer compartment. The appliance is equipped with LG ThinQ technology, enabling users to communicate with and control the refrigerator via a smartphone application. Usage Features

Control Panel: Interior control panel with buttons for Refrigerator and Freezer temperature settings, Water Filter, Air Filter, Smart Grid, Wi-Fi, Ice Plus, In-Door Ice, Craft Ice, Self Care, and Lock.
Temperature Control: Refrigerator temperature adjustable from 33 °F to 43 °F (1 °C to 7 °C). Freezer temperature adjustable from -7 °F to 5 °F (-23 °C to -15 °C). Temperature display can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Ice and Water Dispenser: Dispenses ice and water. Users are advised to discard the first bin full of ice and flush 2.5 gallons of water after installation or prolonged disuse.
Craft Ice™: Produces spherical ice. Modes include 3 ICE (1 batch every 24 hours), 6 ICE (2 batches in the same period), and OFF.
Full-Convert Drawer™: Offers variable temperature settings for different food types: 29 °F (-1 °C) for meat/seafood, 33 °F (1 °C) for cold drinks, 37 °F (3 °C) for deli items/snacks, and 41 °F (5 °C) for chill wine. Can also be set to freezer mode.
InstaView Door-in-Door: Knock twice on the glass to turn the internal LED light on/off. Light turns off automatically after 10 seconds.
Sabbath Mode: Disables alarm functions, dispenser, and InstaView on applicable models. Activated/deactivated by pressing and holding Freezer and Wi-Fi buttons for 3 seconds. Automatically turns off after 96 hours.
Smart Grid Function: Allows the refrigerator to control energy usage or delay functions during peak usage periods, if supported by the electric utility company. Can be overridden manually.
Self Care (UVnano): UV light function to keep the water outlet clean, runs automatically for 10 minutes every hour or can be manually activated.

Maintenance Features

General Cleaning: Both refrigerator and freezer sections defrost automatically. Clean both sections monthly with a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water. Remove all removable parts for thorough cleaning.
Exterior Cleaning: For black stainless steel, use glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth, rubbing in the direction of the grain. For standard stainless steel, use a damp microfiber cloth with liquid dish soap, rubbing in the direction of the grain.
Interior Walls: Wash with a mixture of baking soda (2 tablespoons per 1 quart of water) and warm water to remove odors.
Door Liners and Gaskets: Clean with a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water.
Plastic Parts (Covers and Panels): Clean with a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water.
Condenser Coils: Clean the condenser cover and vents with a vacuum cleaner and brush/crevice attachment.
Air Filter Replacement: Replace approximately every six months or when the "Replace Filter" icon turns on. Instructions for counter-clockwise rotation to remove, pressing sides to pull out, and aligning tabs for reinstallation are provided. Reset the filter sensor by pressing and holding the "Fresh Air Filter" button for 3 seconds.
Water Filter Replacement: Replace approximately every six months or when the "Water Filter" indicator lights up or water dispenser output decreases. Instructions for removing door bin (Type A) or tilting shelf (Type B), pulling/rotating filter, inserting new filter, and flushing 2.5 gallons of water are provided. Reset the indicator light by pressing and holding the "Water Filter" button for three seconds.
