Why does my Liebert UPS have reduced battery time?
    • J
      Jeffery Howell Jr.Aug 15, 2025
Reduced battery time on your Liebert UPS can occur if the batteries are not fully charged. To resolve this, keep the UPS plugged in continuously for at least 24 hours to recharge the batteries. Another reason might be that the UPS is overloaded. Check the load level display and remove any non-essential loads. Finally, the batteries may be old and unable to hold a full charge, in which case you should replace them.

Why is the utility indicator flashing on my Liebert 700 VA?
    • L
      lmartinezAug 18, 2025
A flashing utility indicator on your Liebert UPS means it is operating in battery mode. This could be because the UPS is not securely plugged into the wall receptacle, so ensure it is properly connected. It could also mean that the UPS input protection has opened. If this is the case, save your data, close applications, replace the UPS input fuse or reset the input breaker, and then restart the UPS. The utility voltage may also be out of the UPS input range, so save your data and close applications, and ensure that the utility supply voltage is within acceptable limits for the UPS.

What to do if Liebert 700 VA UPS fails to start?
    • A
      Alexandria MorrisonAug 21, 2025
If your Liebert UPS fails to start when the On/Off button is pressed, it could be due to a short circuit or overload on the UPS output. Turn off the UPS, disconnect all loads, and make sure nothing is lodged in the output receptacles. Also, ensure that the connected loads are not defective or shorted internally. Another possibility is that the internal fuse has blown, indicating an internal fault.

How to fix Liebert 700 VA UPS shutting down with fault A and D LEDs on?
    • J
      Jennifer RomeroAug 25, 2025
If your Liebert UPS shuts down and the “Fault” indicator and diagnostic LEDs “A” & “D” are illuminated, it indicates an internal over temperature condition. Make sure the UPS is not overloaded, that the ventilation openings are not blocked, and that the room ambient temperature is not excessive. Wait 30 minutes to allow the UPS to cool down, then restart it.
