1.1 Description

The Liebert VFD Control Condenser, Model TCDV, is an air cooled direct-drive refrigeration condenser designed to reject heat.

The VFD Control Condenser is applied to precision air conditioning units with dual refrigeration circuits, including units with digital scroll compressors.

3.1 General

3.2 Coil

Liebert manufactured coil: copper tubes, staggered pattern, corrugated aluminum fins, Type 'L' headers, factory leak-tested and dehydrated.

3.3 Fans

Aluminum blades, corrosion-protected steel hubs, heavy-duty keyed hub, dual setscrews. 26" diameter or less, factory balanced.

3.4 Fan Motors

Inverter duty motors, ceramic bearings, overload protection, rain slingers, permanently lubricated bearings, galvanized steel supports.

3.5 Head Pressure Control

VFD control, 0-100% RPM, pressure transducers, ambient thermostats, motor overload, electrical control circuit. Operates to -20°F.

3.6 Housing

Bright aluminum sheet, divided into fan sections by baffles. Galvanized steel structural members. Aluminum legs with rigging holes.

3.7 TVSS and Unit Disconnect Switch

Transient Voltage Surge Suppression and locking disconnect are factory-installed and wired in the enclosed electrical panel.

3.8 Alarm Contacts

Normally open, dry contacts are provided for indication of VFD and TVSS alarm conditions.

3.9 Electrical Controls

Connections and controls in a weatherproof enclosure, integral with the condenser for appearance and protection.
