PEMF Therapy
BEGINNING A PEMF THERAPY SESSION
Before beginning your first pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) session,
read carefully through PEMF Frequency (Hz) Settings, PEMF Therapy
Frequency and Duration, and Tips for Beginning PEMF Therapy on pages
11 and 12.
1. Set up your InfraZen mat following the setup instructions in the EASY
START SETUP GUIDE on page 6.
2. Press the Power button on the remote control to turn on the InfraZen.
3. Press the Frequency button to turn on PEMF. The PEMF frequency
display will light up. The 20-minute PEMF program will begin
automatically.
4. Press the Frequency button a second time to select the frequency. The
frequency display will flash to indicate it can now be adjusted.
5. Press the + / - buttons to increase/decrease the PEMF frequency in
1-Hertz increments, from 1–30 Hz. Press and hold the buttons to adjust
the frequency rapidly.
6. Place the remote control on a heat-resistant surface, such as a table or
the floor, for the duration of your session.
7. The InfraZen will automatically turn off at the end of the 20-minute
PEMF session. You may press the Power button at any time to stop the
session.
8. If you wish to begin another PEMF session, simply press the Power
button to turn the InfraZen back on. The last used frequency will be
remembered and automatically selected.
9. Always turn off and unplug the InfraZen after each use.
10. Allow the mat to completely cool before cleaning, folding, or storing.

PEMF FREQUENCY (HZ) SETTINGS
The InfraZen has 30 frequency settings, 1–30 Hz. The frequency is the
number of PEMF pulses or cycles per second. It is important to begin at a
low frequency and increase frequency slowly over a period of time to allow
your body to adjust.
INITIAL PEMF THERAPY PROGRAM DAYS 1, 2, AND 3
Begin your PEMF therapy journey with at least three days of sessions using
a frequency of 2 Hz. This initial PEMF program has several benefits:
• It has a calming effect on the body.
• It will help your body acclimate to PEMF therapy.
• It can result in a rapid decrease in chronic pain and inflammation.
NOTE: Increasing the PEMF frequency too rapidly may result in discomfort or
swelling in the treatment area, especially when addressing chronic conditions.
This is due to a rapid increase in blood circulation at higher frequencies. If this
occurs, allow your body a one-day break from PEMF therapy. Afterward, repeat
the Initial PEMF Treatment Plan (at least three days of sessions using 2 Hz).
ONGOING PEMF THERAPY
Once you have finished the initial PEMF program, you may follow the
frequency setting guidelines below.

• Stimulate the body and mind
• Great for recovery from
sports injuries

CAUTION: Do not use frequencies over 2 Hz in the head area.
NOTES:
• We do not recommend using frequencies over 15 Hz after 8pm in the evening,
as higher frequencies can have a stimulating effect on the mind and body and
may disrupt sleep.
• It can be very beneficial to alternate frequencies to keep your body guessing
and adapting.
