The restrictor ensures that the subject cannot blow too hard and affect the
quality of the sample. The restrictor also makes it easier for the subject to
provide a consistent breath sample. A disposable mouthpiece fitted with a
non-return valve prevents the subject from sucking breath through the
mouthpiece.
To fit the mouthpiece, simply place it on the top of the instrument and
push the removal grip down until it clicks into place.
To remove the mouthpiece, hold the removal grip between finger and
thumb and pull the mouthpiece away from the instrument.
