This pump is designed to automatically remove condensate water
that drips from wall mount ductless air conditioners up to 34,000
BTU/hr. The EC-1-DV pump is only suitable for intermittent use in
applications with a maximum 50% pump duty cycle and maxi-
mum 3-minute pump ON cycle. To maintain a maximum 50%
duty cycle, the pump must have at least twice the flow rate of the
condensate produced at the head required by the application.
The pump is controlled by a float switch mechanism, which auto-
matically starts and stops the pump. These models also include a
high water level switch, which opens a thermostat circuit or breaks power to the machine when the pump
reservoir is full, stopping production of condensate. Alternatively, this switch can be reconfigured to close a
circuit and operate a relay to sound an alarm, power a warning light, or signal a building management sys-
tem (alarm, light, and BMS are purchased separately).
This product is covered by a Limited Warranty for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase by
the consumer. For complete warranty information, refer to www.LittleGiant.com

Why won't my Little Giant EC-1-DV start when the tank is full?
    • A
      Abigail WestAug 6, 2025
If your Little Giant Water Pump doesn't start when the tank is full, several factors could be responsible. Ensure the pump is connected to a dedicated GFCI circuit. Check if the circuit breaker is off or the fuse is removed, and turn it on or replace the fuse if necessary. Debris accumulation on the float can also prevent the pump from starting; clean the float to ensure it's not too heavy. Additionally, inspect the float movement path for any obstructions and remove them. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the switch or motor may be defective, and the pump may need to be replaced.

Why my Little Giant Water Pump will not shut off?
    • W
      Wendy WilsonAug 13, 2025
If your Little Giant Water Pump won't shut off, check for obstructions in the float movement path by removing the tank and clearing any debris. If the liquid inflow exceeds the pump's capacity, a larger pump may be required; ensure the high-level switch is correctly connected to shut off the A/C unit or signal an alarm. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the switch may be defective, requiring pump replacement.

What to do if Little Giant Water Pump runs but doesn't discharge liquid?
    • J
      John LawrenceAug 19, 2025
If your Little Giant Water Pump runs but doesn't discharge liquid, start by removing the check valve and inspecting it for proper operation. Also, verify that the lift isn't too high for the pump's capacity by checking the rated pump performance. Ensure that the outlet tubing isn't kinked or blocked, and clear any slime or debris from the tubing, inlet, and outlet piping.

How to troubleshoot Little Giant EC-1-DV Water Pump not delivering rated capacity?
    • V
      Vanessa RodriguezAug 25, 2025
If your Little Giant Water Pump isn't delivering its rated capacity, begin by removing the check valve and inspecting it for proper operation. Next, check the rated pump performance to ensure the lift isn't too high. Finally, verify that the supply voltage matches the nameplate rating, as low voltage can slow the pump's speed.

What to do if the Little Giant Water Pump tank is overflowing?
    • B
      Betty WongAug 30, 2025
If the condensate is overflowing from the tank, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the pump is connected to electrical power via a dedicated GFCI circuit. A larger pump might be needed if the liquid inflow matches or exceeds the pump's output capacity. In this case, the high-level switch should shut off the A/C unit or signal an alarm if correctly connected. Also, make sure the pump is level; place it on a flat surface. Debris accumulation on the float can also cause overflow, so clean the float. Inspect the check valve for proper operation and clear any blockages from the outlet tubing, inlet, and outlet piping. If none of these steps work, the switch or motor might be defective, requiring a pump replacement.
