Remove all stickers, and wash the drip pan, rotisserie spit, forks, and kabobs in warm, soapy water or a dishwasher, then dry thoroughly. The door handle is removable for cleaning the inside of the unit and needs to be assembled before use. A trial run for 20 minutes is recommended to familiarize with the grill and eliminate any protective substances or oils from packing. Some smoke and odor may be detected during this initial run, which is normal.
- Safety Interlock: The unit will not start unless the glass door is properly closed. A metallic tongue must make contact with an internal button, and a click should be heard, with the inner blue light turning off, for the appliance to operate.
- Rotisserie Cooking:
- Attach one rotisserie fork to the pointed end of the spit, tines facing the center, and tighten slightly.
- Slide the pointed end of the spit through the center of the food.
- Attach the second fork to the other end, tines facing the roast, and adjust the roast to be centered and secure. Tighten screws.
- For poultry, secure legs and wings with butcher's twine for compact movement.
- Place the round drip pan into the receptacle at the bottom of the oven to collect drippings.
- Insert the solid end of the spit into the drive socket in the center of the drip pan.
- Place the grooved end of the spit onto the spit support at the top interior of the oven.
- Close the glass door.
- Set the TIMER Control according to the recipe. For cooking times over 1 hour, set to "Stay On" and monitor.
- Once cooking is complete, turn the TIMER Control to "Off" and unplug.
- Remove the rotisserie by lifting it up and out from the top, then pulling the bottom part from the drip pan receptacle.
- Allow the roast to stand for 10-15 minutes before carving.
- Loosen screws on forks and remove the spit, then carve.
- Kabob Cooking: If kabob accessories are included, assemble them as per instructions. Place the round drip pan, insert the solid end of the rotisserie spit into the drive socket, and the grooved end onto the spit support. Close the glass door and set the timer.
