Locating
TV
stations
with
“Station
Search’
Depress
the
®)
button.
The
set
searches
in
turn
in
the
“VHF/FM
band‘,
then
in
the
special
channel
band
for
stations,
running
through
the
channel
numbers.
The
station
search
run
stops
as
soon
as
a
Station
is
found.
If
the
transmitted
signal
is
weak
or
if
the
picture
has
“ghosts
start
the
search
run
again
by
pressing
the
®)
button.
If
picture
and
sound
are
of
optimum
quality,
please
read
further
in
section
“Naming
and
storing
TV
programmes“.
If
an
optimum
picture
and
sound
quality
has
not
yet
been
achieved,
fine
tuning
can
be
carried
out
as
follows.
Fine
tuning.
The
exact
station
frequencies
are
stored
in
this
set
and
will
be
maintained
exactly
during
“Station
Search“
and
with
direct
channel
input.
Normally
you
will
not
need
to
carry
out
fine
tuning.
It
may.
only
be
necessary
to
carry
out
fine
tuning
if
reception
is
poor,
e.g.
with
non-
standard
converters
in
community
antenna
systems
or
with
the
video
recorder
station
if
playback
takes
place
via
the
antenna
socket.
Adjust
for
the
optimum
sound
and
picture
quality
as
follows:
Select
the
menu
point.‘‘Fine*
with
the
yellow
arrow
buttons
.
The
normal
fine
tuning
value
is
“Fine
00.
Tune
to
an
“oversharp"
picture
with
the
©
button,
to
an
“unsharp“
picture
with
the
©
button.
If
the
fine
tuning
value
56
(UHF,
64)
is
exceeded,
however,
you
will
already
be
tuning
in
the
next
higher
or
next
lower
channel.
Therefore
watch
the
displayed
channel
number
during
tuning.
Direct
input
of
TV
channel
numbers.
Assuming
that
you
know
the
channel
band
and
channel
numbers
of
the
TV
stations
which
can
be
received
by
you:
1.
Move
the
yellow_cursor
with
the
yellow
buttons
@,
@
to
menu
point
“Range“.
2.
Select
the
desired
channel
band
using
the
©
or
©
buttons,
e.g.
“V/UHF"
or
“S-Chan“
for
the
special
channel
band.
3.
Move
the
yellow_cursor
with
the
yellow
buttons
@,
@
to
menu
point
“Channel
...".
4,
Enter
the
channel
number
as
a
2-digit
figure
using
the
numeric
keys
0
-
9,
e.g.
for
channel
7
simply
07,
etc.
Note:
On
cable
systems,
stations
can
be
received
both
in-the
VHF
band
(V/UHF)
and
in
the
special
channel
band
(S-Chan).
Channel
designations
in
other
countries.
The
channel
designations
are
different
in
the
various
standards
and
in
some
other
countries.
In
some
countries,
the
channels
are
designated
with
letters.
For
direct
channel
input,
enter
the
channel
number
according
to
the
table
“Channel
designations
and
displays
in
other
standards
and
countries“
at
the
end
of
this
manual.
Naming
and
storing
TV
programmes.
You
are
now
receiving
a
programme.
You
will
almost
certainly
also
already
have
found
out
which
TV
programme
it
is
you
are
receiving,
e.g.
from
the
TV
magazine
or
newspaper.
In
order
to
maintain
an
overview
at
all
times
which
TV
programme
you
are
selecting
with
which
programme
number,
it
is
also
possible
to
assign
a
programme
name
with
up
to
5
characters
to
each
programme
number.
Move
the
yellow
cursor
using
the
yellow
buttons
Y),
to
the_menu
point
“Name.
Hold
the
©
or
©
key
pressed
and
all
the
letters
of
the
alphabet,
the
“+‘
character,
a
“blank“
and
the
digits
O
to
9
will
appear
in
turn.
By
briefly
pressing
the
©
or
©
key,
it
is
now
possible
to
select
the
“B“
e.g.
for
the
name
BBC.
Press
the
®
key
and
a
question
mark
?
will
appear
at
the
second
position
and
you
can
select
the
second
character
of
the
name,
e.g.
“B“
Pressing
the
®
key
again
calls
up
the
3rd
digit,
etc.
