teletext
decoder
supports
the
following

operating
systems:

you

use

preferred
page
mode
here,
i.e.
storing
and
calling
up
your
preferred
pages.

teletext
from
ARD
and
ZDF
and
affitiated
regional
stations.

FLOF
teletext
from
British,
Spanish
and
Swedish
broadcasting
corporations.
You
must
decide
whether
to
use
the
TOP
teletext
system
or
teletext
with’
preferred
pages.
With
the
FLOF
teletext
system,
you
do
not
need
to
make
any
settings.
Does
the
selected
station
transmit
teletext
or
TOP
teletext?
On
the
bottom
line
of
the
screen
you
will
find
the
user
guide.
If
the
TOP
operating
system
is
active
and
the
station
transmits
TOP
teletext,
the
currently
selected
topic
section
and
the
next
topic
(separated
by
a
slash)
will
appear
in
this
line
against
a
yellow
background;
the
next
topic
section
is
displayed
alongside
against
a
blue
background.

teletext
is
selected
immediately
after
switching
on
the
set,
TOP
will
not
yet
be
active.
The
user
guide
then
displays
four
coloured
fields
-
red,
green,
yellow
and
blue
-
and
the
numbers
of
two
stored
pages.
It
takes
a
few
seconds
for
TOP
to
become
active.
You
will
then
see
the
coloured
fields
with
the
current
topics,
e.g.
Summary,
Index,
Current
Affairs,
etc.
If,
again
after
a
few
seconds
in
teletext
mode,
only
the
coloured
fields
with
the
page
numbers
appear,
then
the
teletext
decoder
is
in
“Preferred
page
mode“

This
user
guide
is
intended
to
facilitate
calling
up
of
teletext
pages
in
the
same
way
as
TOP.
You
determine
yourself
which
of
the
huge
selection
of
teletext
pages
should
be
prestored
when
a
given
TV
programme
is
switched
on.

We
now
want
to
programme
column
2
for
the
second
programme
memory
location
with
teletext
preferred
pages.
Move
the
yellow
cursor
with
the
yellow
arrow
buttons
@,
@
into
the
second
column
to
the
two
question
marks.
Enter
02
using
the
numeric
keys
for
the
2nd
programme
memory
location.
Move
the
yellow
cursor
to
the
first
page
number
(100)
and,
with
the
numeric
keys,
enter
the
page
number
of
your
preferred
teletext
page.
This
page
is
then
the
“starting
page“
and
should
also
be
transmitted
by
the
station.
The
page
numbers
for
corresponding
topics
are
to
be
found
on
the
summary
page
100
in
teletext
mode.
Select
the
next
line
and
enter
the
next
page
number,
etc.
Up
to
6
preferred
pages
can
be
stored
for
each
of
four
programme
memory
locations.
Finally
press
button
to
store
your
page
selections.
