Why does smoke enter the room when I reload my Lopi Sheffield?
    • J
      Jacob ShepherdJul 30, 2025
Smoke may enter the room while reloading your Lopi Wood stove if the air isn't stable before you fully open the door or if there is insufficient draft. To address this, push the air control in before opening the door, then open the door approximately 1 inch to allow air to enter the firebox for a few seconds. If the smoke consistently flows up the chimney, you can then fully open the door. If the draft is insufficient, adding more pipe or a draft-inducing cap may help.

      Cory WallaceAug 4, 2025
Smoke may enter the room during the start-up of your Lopi Wood stove because of a cold air blockage. To resolve this, burn a piece of newspaper to establish a draft. Also, ensure the air control is fully open. If more air is needed, slightly crack the door open.

What to do if my Lopi Sheffield Wood stove blower does not run?
    • W
      waynebrownAug 9, 2025
The blower in your Lopi Wood stove might not be running because the stove is not yet up to temperature, which usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. Another reason could be that electricity is cut to the blower. Check the household breaker or fuse to ensure it is working.

Why doesn't kindling start and fire smolders in my Lopi Sheffield Wood stove?
    • R
      Roger HinesAug 14, 2025
If the kindling in your Lopi Wood stove does not start and the fire smolders, it may be due to a cold air blockage. Try burning a piece of newspaper to establish a draft. If needed, use additional newspaper. Ensure the air control is fully open, and if more air is required, slightly crack the door.

    • J
      Jennifer ThompsonAug 19, 2025
Your Lopi Wood stove may not burn long enough due to several factors that affect burn time, including the type of wood, draft conditions. Make sure the doors are sealing properly and not letting air into the firebox. Also, check the ash bed for coals; raking glowing coals into a pile can help restart the stove quickly.

What to do if my Lopi Wood stove does not burn hot enough?
    • R
      raymond26Aug 25, 2025
Your Lopi Wood stove might not burn hot enough due to several reasons. The wood may be wet, the draft may be insufficient, or the air control may not be fully open. Ensure you are using dry wood. Adding more pipe or a draft-inducing cap may help with insufficient draft. Also, make sure the air control is all the way in and slide it back and forth to ensure it is not stuck.
