FOR commissioning, rotational
drive with encoder
Unregulated test run
Prerequisite:
• Inverter module fully connected.
• Control terminals wired according to
terminal assignment 4,

see page 3-16 .
•A K
EYPAD KP200 or a PC with DRIVEMANAGER (version V2.3 or
higher) is connected. For operation see section 4.6 and 4.7.
Attention: Make sure the rotating drive in your machine cannot cause
any damage (e.g. overrunning its stop limit) during commis-
sioning.

Step Action Comment
1
Switch on the power to the
inverter module.
After power-up the inverter module per-
forms a self-test (lasting approx. 1... 3 s).
2
Check that your drive can be run
at the rotating field frequency and
with the ramps as per the factory
setting.
Rotating field frequency (FMAX) = 50Hz
with reference (R1) = 10 V
Acceleration ramp = 20 Hz/s
1)
Deceleration and stop ramp = 20 Hz/s
1)
If this is not possible, change the
parameters listed in the column
adjacent. Back-up the setting in
subject area _15FC with parame-
ter 150-SAVE.
Subject area/Parameter
FMAX _30OL 303-FMAX1
Acceleration
ramp _59DP 590 -ACCR1
Deceleration
ramp _59DP 592 -DECR1
Stop ramp _59DP 594-STPR1
3
In subject area _15FC set param-
eters 152-ASTER to ROT_2.
ROT_2 = Control terminal assignment
Analog speed input + encoder
4
Close ENPO contact and set a low
reference value with R1.
ENPO active enables power stage.
5
Start drive by closing the STL or
STR contact.
STL = Start counter-clockwise
STR = Start clockwise
6
Check direction of rotation of
drive.
With STR active, motor rotates clockwise
(2)
 (1) Direction of view.
6
Brake drive by opening the start
contact.
Drive brakes down to a standstill.
7
Open ENPO contact.
ENPO inactive safely disables power
stage.
1) Factory setting from BG1
to BG5 (15 kW ) = 20 Hz/s, as
from BG6 (22 kW) to
BG8 = 5 Hz/s
Remember to
save the set-
ting.
• Call up subject area
_15FC
• Select parameter
150-SAVE
• Set parameter to
START and confirm
