Mac Afric MGENER-221 - Troubleshooting; Engine Will Not Start

When the engine will not start:
Is there fuel in the tank?
i YES
Is there enough oil in the engine?
i YES
Is there a spark from the spark plug?

plug.Spilled fuel may ignite.

Is the fuel reaching the carburetor?

If the engine still does not start, take
the
generator to an authorized gen-
erator deater.
NO

NO I Replace the spark plug. I spark
To check:
1) Remove the spark plug cap and clean any dirt from
around the
spark plug.
2) Remove the spark plug and install the spark plug in the
plug cap.
3) Set the plug side electrode on the cylinder head.
4) Crank the engine. Sparks should jump across the gap.
NO
To check:
1) Turn off the engine switch and
loosen the drain screw.
2)
Fuel should flow from the drain when the engine switch
is turned on.

TROUBlESHOOl'ING
Refill the fuel tank.
Add the recommended
oil.
Take the generator to an authorized
generator dealer.
Clean
the fuel sediment cup.
