DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

z Check that all warning lights are off.
z Make sure that there is sufficient air pressure
in the compressed air tanks.
The MT is only ready for operation when the air pres-
sure in the compressed air tank of the third circuit is
more than 5.2 bar.
z Make sure the trailer or gooseneck have been securely
coupled. The control lights in the instrument panel need
to light up.
Checking the equipment
z Adjust the mirrors before starting to drive the MT.
z Store away loose objects into the storage net for instance.
DANGER!
Accident hazard!
Loose objects in the cabin can block the pedals. This can
cause accidents owing to losing control of the MT.
X Do not to store loose objects in the driver's cab.
X Secure loose objects so that they cannot obstruct the
pedals. Use the storage net for instance.
Driving with towed loads
The driver is responsible for safely loading the cargo.
z Always adjust the speed to the circumstances when
driving with towed loads.
z Drive in a manner that the train can be braked safely at
any time. This especially applies to driving with unbraked
roll trailers or Cargotrailers.
z Make sure that In the case of trailer vehicles with com-
pressed air brakes, the compressed air connections are
connected to the corresponding coupling heads.
z Make sure there is enough side clearance when driving
around obstacles.
