Operation with container chassis
Loading and unloading procedure
A container chassis can be hitched to the MT for traffic in a ter-
minal. The container chassis can be saddled and unsaddled
like a semi-trailer on the MT, see “Working with coupling equip-
ment” on page 108.
The following notes must be observed during the hitching and
unhitching of the MT with the saddled container chassis.
CAUTION!
Material damages!
If hitching or unhitching the container chassis improp-
erly, damages to the chassis and/or the MT's air sus-
pension may occur.
X Make sure that the container chassis stands on the
supports during the loading and unloading proce-
dures,
X or lift the fifth wheel coupling by at least 5 to 10 cm.
X Do not let the cargo drop suddenly onto the container
chassis.
