Switch on the headlights (see “Headlight” on page 50).
When the headlights are switched on, the low beam is
activated.
3 The function indicator in the combination display
instrument lights up 2 (green).
WARNING!
Accident hazard!
Accidents may occur when oncoming traffic is blinded
by the glare of a high-beam headlight.
X Always use low (dipped) beams when there is
oncoming traffic.
X Press the combination switch away from the steering wheel
in the direction of arrow 4.
3 The high beam is switched on. The function indicator in
the combination display instrument lights up 1 (blue).
X Pull the combination switch back to the middle position of
the combination switch.
3 The low beam is switched on.
X Pull the combination switch towards the steering wheel in
the direction of arrow 6.
3 The flash is activated.
3 The combination switch jumps automatically back to the
centre position.
