Engine coolant temperature

This indicator is operational when the ignition is on.
The engine shuts off automatically if the engine coolant
overheats and the pointer is at the far right beyond the
permitted temperature range.
Engine coolant temperatures that are too high lead to
engine damage. Stop the vehicle immediately and
determine the cause of the problem. For help see
“Displays of the combination display instrument” on
page 125.
Press the “Bypassing the safety switch-off” button in
order to move the MT out of the danger zone in the
case of an emergency, see “Bypassing the engine's
safety switch-off” on page 54.
Intake air filter soiling – option

The warning light is on the combination display instrument.
During ignition, the warning light lights up for several seconds
and then goes out.
If the warning light does not go out after ignition or remains on
during operation, then the intake air filter is soiled.
If the intake air filter is soiled, replace the air filter
cartridge promptly; refer to the maintenance manual.
