Here's how to troubleshoot: 1. **Reset Remote:** Disconnect the remote cable from the inverter for 5 seconds, then reconnect it. 2. **Check RJ11 Cable:** Inspect the RJ11 cable connection on the back of the remote. Ensure the RJ11 connector is fully inserted into the correct port until you hear a 'click'. 3. **Inverter Power:** Make sure the inverter batteries are connected, and the inverter is operating correctly. The inverter should be able to invert and power AC loads from batteries (ensure no AC power is connected to the inverter AC inputs).

Why won't my Magnum Energy unit transfer to Charge mode with AC applied?

  If your Magnum Energy unit isn’t transferring to Charge mode when AC power is applied, and the CHG LED on the remote isn't blinking, it means the charger isn't recognizing the incoming AC as being within acceptable limits. To solve this, measure the input AC voltage at the inverter input terminals—it should be 120VAC +/- 20 VAC (230 VAC +/- 40 VAC for export models). Also, check that the VAC Dropout setting on the remote is 80 VAC or less (160 VAC or less for export models). If the CHG LED is blinking, the transfer relay should close within 20 seconds and the unit should then begin charging.

  If the inverter is turned on, the green INV LED on the inverter is blinking, and there is no output, the inverter is likely in Search mode. You can either turn off Search mode if it's not needed or turn on loads greater than the Search Watts setting.

To resolve this: 1. Disconnect the remote cable from the inverter for 5 seconds and reconnect it. 2. Check the RJ11 cable connection on the back of the remote, ensuring it is pushed into the correct port until you feel/hear a 'click'. Also, ensure the inverter batteries are connected and the inverter is operating correctly, able to invert and power AC loads from batteries without AC power connected to the inverter AC inputs.
