1. CHECKING ELECTRICAL TROUBLES (Contd.)
1. Starter motor burned out. 1. Install new starter motor.
2. Commutator worn or dirty. 2. Remove band, inspect
brushes and commutator
for grooves, pitting,
burned spots.
3. Brushes not making proper. 3. Inspect brushes for
contact. proper seating. Replace if
necessary.
