What to do if Makita Chainsaw engine starts, but dies immediately?
- MMallory WilsonSep 2, 2025
If your Makita Chainsaw starts but dies immediately, it could be due to a wrong idling adjustment, or a dirty suction head or carburetor. Adjust the idling and clean the suction head or carburetor. Also, check the tank venting and fuel line, as a defective tank venting, interrupted fuel line, defective cable or combination switch could also be the cause.
