Why won't the solution pump run on my Malco XTRAX 1200 Ventilation Hood?

  If the solution pump on your Malco Ventilation Hood won't run, several factors could be responsible. Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker and replace or reset it. A faulty pump switch or motor could also be the problem, requiring replacement. Inspect the wiring to the solution pump for looseness and repair according to the wiring diagram. Damaged pump seals may also prevent operation, so replace the pump or seals. Lastly, ensure the preheat/clean switch is in the clean position, not preheat.

  If your upholstery or carpet wand is leaking, the following issues may be the cause: a faulty quick coupler (replace it), a leaking valve (replace the valve with a rebuild kit), a split hose or loose fittings (replace the hose or tighten the fittings), quick couplers not fully engaged (reconnect the quick coupler), or a worn valve stem (replace the stem).
