Why won't the solution pump run on my Malco XTRAX 1200 Ventilation Hood?

  If the solution pump on your Malco Ventilation Hood won't run, several factors could be responsible. Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker and replace or reset it. A faulty pump switch or motor could also be the problem, requiring replacement. Inspect the wiring to the solution pump for looseness and repair according to the wiring diagram. Damaged pump seals may also prevent operation, so replace the pump or seals. Lastly, ensure the preheat/clean switch is in the clean position, not preheat.

Reduce the load on the circuit by unplugging other appliances or using a different circuit. Other causes include a faulty vacuum switch (replace it), an open waste tank drain valve (ensure it's closed), a clogged float shutoff screen (clean the screen after removing the Recovery Tank lid), or an air leak on the vacuum tank lid (tighten the Recovery Tank lid). Also, check the vacuum hose and cuffs, ensuring they are firmly connected and not split; replace if necessary. Inspect the internal vacuum hose for tightness and splits.
