* By pressing the START key, the tape begins play
from 100 as in the above items “‘a’’ and “’b”.
The tape is played to the end and then stops (If
the start count is set to a large figure such as
9900, the tape stops when the counter reaches
0000 after 9999). Refer to Fig. 5.15.

e. During counter-controlled operation, the operating
buttons will not function. To stop the tape tem-
porarily during playback, press the PMG PAUSE key.
To resume playback, press the same key once again.
f. To stop the tape deck after releasing counter-con-
trolled operation, set. the COUNTER MEMORY
switch to the OFF position.
g. During counter-controlled operation, if the PRO-
GRAM MODE switch is set to the SINGLE or RE-
PEAT position, and tape will be rewound. The tape
stops at the end of the tape. When the switch is set
to the OFF/CA position during the REW mode,
the tape stops at that point (the memory is retained).
(2) PLAY/REPEAT
In this position, the tape plays repeatedly between the
start count and stop count (Fig. 5.16).
To release the PLAY/REPEAT mode, set the COUNTER
MEMORY switch to the OFF position.

In this position, playback under control of the counter
memory is released and, at the same time, the start and
stop counts stored in the memory are cleared.
When the COUNTER MEMORY switch is in the OFF
position, timer recording is not possible. Refer to sec-
tion 5.5.
(4) REWIND/STOP
When the COUNTER MEMORY switch is in the RE-
WIND/STOP position and the PROGRAM MODE switch
is in the OFF/CA position, the tape deck functions as
follows: ,
a. By pressing the REW key, the tape is rewound to a
counter reading of 0000.
b. When the tape reaches its end during the REW mode
before the counter indicates 0000, the tape stops at
that point.

c. During the REW mode, the tape also stops in the
following cases: ,
1) The STOP button is pressed.
2) The SENSOR STOP button is pressed.
3) The PROGRAM MODE switch is set from OFF/
CA to SINGLE and to OFF/CA.
4) The CE/RESET key is pressed when the SELEC-
TOR switch is in the COUNTER position.
5) The COUNTER MEMORY switch is set to the
PLAY (STOP, REPEAT) position and then to the
OFF position.
(5) REWIND/REPLAY
The basic functions of the tape deck are the same as
in the item (4) REWIND/STOP. In the case of items ‘’a”’
and “C-4’’, the tape stops once and then begins to play.
The tape stops at the end of the tape.
