About the M3310 HMI Controller
The M3310 HMI Controller is the interface for various equipment and workstations in the food
processing industry. The user interacts with the controller via a touch panel and a large graph
ical LCD display. The M3310 HMI Controller is powered by CAN bus.

The M3310 HMI Controller is built on a Freescale ARM technology and runs a Linux real-time
operating system that offers a range of connections to other equipment:
l 2x Standard 1 Gbit Ethernet network and various protocols, for example, Powerlink, Eth
ercat, TCP, and IP
l USB Serial bus with two host ports and two for internal use
l RS232 (one serial port)
l Possible to service the controller remotely via the internet
l Agraphical high-contrast color display with a LED backlight
l Built-in battery backup for graceful power down
l CANOpen master
l USB host
The controller is a CANOpen master and USB host, and can be used as a human-machine inter
face and for real-time observation and performance monitoring.

available in separate documentation.
