1 balanced analog outputs
These outputs provide balanced line-level analog audio (via cables
equipped with XLR-type connectors) to a preamplifier, integrated
amplifier, or receiver equipped with balanced inputs (see “Set-up
and installation”). The pin assignments used are AES-standard, as
shown below:

Pin 1: Signal ground
Pin 2: Signal + (non-inverting)
Pin 3: Signal – (inverting)
Connector ground lug: chassis ground
Please use high quality balanced interconnecting cables such as
Madrigal CZ Gel-1 with these outputs (assuming your preampli-
fier supports balanced inputs).
2 single-ended analog outputs
These outputs provide single-ended line-level analog audio (via
cables equipped with RCA-type connectors) to a preamplifier, in-
tegrated amplifier, or receiver. Please use high quality single-ended
interconnecting cables such as Madrigal CZ Gel-2 with these out-
puts (assuming you use them rather than the balanced outputs in
1 above).
