Installing a New Ethernet Cable
If the Ethernet cables that connect the Mx computer to the receivers is too short, you can replace it
by a longer Ethernet cable.
The new Ethernet cable must have the following specifications:
Category: cat. 5e minimum
Length: 100 meters maximum
Shielding: U/FTP
When replacing the cable, you need to install an Ethernet connector on the cable end that is
connected to the receiver. The Ethernet connector kit is included in the product package.
To know how to install the Ethernet connector to the new cable, refer to the assembly instructions
included with the Ethernet connector kit.
Configuring the Receivers
You need to update both Mx receivers to make them compliant with an M6 system.
About this task
In this procedure, the Mx receivers are called receiver 1 and receiver 2. It is up to you to choose
which is 1 or 2.
Updating the Mx Receivers
Procedure
1.
Open Scala.
2.
Connect receiver 1 to the Mx computer.
3.
Wait between 3 seconds and 3 minutes and click OK to the following message:
