What to do if there is a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in my Master cook CLASSIC 500 Grill?
    • N
      Nicole KochAug 18, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height on your Master cook Grill, here's what to do: * Check if your LP gas cylinder is empty and replace or refill it if needed. * The excess flow safety device may have been activated. Turn the control knobs to “OFF”, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still too low, reset the excessive flow safety device by turning the control knobs to “OFF” and the LP gas cylinder valve to “CLOSED”. Disconnect the regulator. Turn the control knobs to “HIGH”, wait 1 minute. Then turn the control knobs to “OFF”, and reconnect the regulator and leak check the connections. Slowly turn the LP gas cylinder valve to “OPEN”, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill per the lighting instructions.

Why won't my Master cook CLASSIC 500 Grill burner light with a match?
    • D
      Daniel SimmonsAug 21, 2025
If your Master cook Grill burner won't light with a match, consider these potential causes: * There may be no gas flow. Check if the LP gas cylinder is empty and replace or refill it. You can also refer to the section on 'sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height'. * The coupling nut and regulator might not be fully connected. Turn the coupling nut about one-half to three-quarters of an additional turn until it stops. Tighten by hand only; do not use tools. * There could be an obstruction of gas flow. Clear the burner tubes and check for bent or kinked hoses. * Spider webs or insect nests may be in the venturi. Clean the venturi. * The burner ports could be clogged or blocked. Clean the burner ports.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Master cook CLASSIC 500?
    • C
      Christopher CaseAug 28, 2025
A yellow or orange flame on your Master cook Grill can be due to several factors: * A new burner may have residual manufacturing oils. Burn the grill for 15 minutes with the lid closed. * Spider webs or insect nests may be in the venturi. Clean the venturi. * Food residue, grease, or seasoning salt may be on the burner. Clean the burner. * There may be poor alignment of the valve to the injector venturi. Ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the injector.

Why does the inside of my Master cook CLASSIC 500 lid look like it is peeling?
    • C
      Caitlin MossSep 7, 2025
If the inside of your Master cook Grill lid appears to be peeling, it's likely because the lid is stainless steel, not painted. The peeling appearance is baked-on grease buildup that has turned to carbon and is flaking off. To fix this, clean the lid thoroughly.
