What to do if the Master cook Grill burner won't light with a match?
    • K
      Kristin FordAug 4, 2025
If the burner on your Master cook Grill won't light with a match, several factors could be the cause. First, check if the LP gas cylinder is empty and replace or refill it, or refer to 'sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height'. Ensure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by hand-tightening them. Clear any obstructions in the gas flow, such as burner tubes or bent/kinked hoses. Clean the venturi to remove spider webs or insect nests and clean burner ports if they are clogged or blocked.

How to fix a Master cook Grill igniter that won't light the burner?
    • M
      Michele LongAug 9, 2025
If your Master cook Grill burner won't light using the igniter, the wires or electrode may be covered with cooking residue. Clean the wire and/or electrode with rubbing alcohol. Alternatively, the electrode and burners might be wet, so wipe them dry with a cloth. If the electrode is cracked or broken, replace it. Check if the wire is loose or disconnected, and reconnect it or replace the electrode/wire assembly. Lastly, if the wire is shorting, replace the igniter wire/electrode assembly.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow in my Master cook SRGG30004 Grill?
    • A
      Andrew DouglasAug 13, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your Master cook Grill may be due to an empty LP gas cylinder. Replace or refill the cylinder. The excess flow safety device may have been activated. To reset it, turn the control knobs to 'OFF', wait 30 seconds, and light the barbecue. If flames are still too low, reset the excessive flow safety device by turning control knobs 'OFF' and the LP gas cylinder valve to 'CLOSED'. Disconnect the regulator, turn control knobs to 'HIGH', wait 1 minute, then turn control knobs to 'OFF', reconnect the regulator, and leak-check connections. Slowly turn the LP gas cylinder valve to 'OPEN', wait 30 seconds, and then light the barbecue per the lighting instructions.

    • M
      Mary ThomasOct 30, 2025
If the flame of your Master cook Grill is yellow or orange, several factors could be at play. New burners might have residual manufacturing oils, so burn the grill for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Spider webs or insect nests in the venturi can also cause this, so clean the venturi. Additionally, food residue, grease, or seasoning salt on the burner may be the culprit, requiring you to clean the burner. Ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the injector. Avoid using the grill in high winds. If the issue persists, consider replacing or refilling the LP gas cylinder and adjusting the temperature accordingly. If an excess flow valve tripped, turn control knobs to 'OFF', turn the LP gas tank valve to 'CLOSED', leave the lid closed, and let the fire burn out. After the grill cool...
