If the child restraint buckle or harness release lever sticks, avoid lubrication. Inspect the lever and retractor for obstructions such as dropped food, sticky spills, dirt, or leaves. Clean the area with warm water or use tweezers to remove any foreign objects. If the harness cannot be adjusted and remain tight while the buckle is securely locked, discontinue use of the child restraint.
