Head Position
The top of your child’s head must be
at least 1 in. (2.5 cm) below the top
of the car seat
Harness Strap Position
The harness strap must be
at or slightly below your child’s
shoulders; never above.

Securing Child in Car Seat

Place Child in
Car Seat
• Your child’s bottom
and back should be
flat against the car
seat.
• Position the harness
straps over your
child’s shoulders
and upper thighs.
Fasten Chest Clip
• Insert the right half
of chest clip into the
left half.
• Snap together.

Buckle Position
Choose the slot closest to your child.
The buckle should not be
underneath or behind your child.
