If the light bulb in your Maxxus Plumbing Product is not working, first remove the burned-out light bulb and replace it. If that doesn't solve the problem, check the light bulb wiring to ensure it's not loose; if it is, check the connection and/or replace the lamp assembly. If problems persist, the electrical control panel may need to be replaced.

If the light bulb in your Maxxus Plumbing Product is not working, start by checking if the bulb is burned out and replace it if necessary. If the new bulb also doesn't work, the wiring might be loose, so check the connection and replace the lamp assembly if needed. If both of these solutions don't work, the electrical control panel might have issues, and you should replace the relevant control panel.

Overview

This document is an instruction manual for Maxxus Infrared Saunas, covering models MX-K206-01, MX-K306-01, MX-K406-01, and MX-M406-01. It provides comprehensive information on assembly, operation, maintenance, and safety for these indoor-use carbon model saunas, available in hemlock and red cedar.

Function Description:

Maxxus Infrared Saunas are designed to provide therapeutic heat using infrared radiant energy, which directly penetrates the body's tissue to induce perspiration. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air to high temperatures (upwards of 190°F), infrared saunas achieve a similar warming effect at lower temperatures (up to 120°F), making the environment more tolerable and easier to breathe. The process, known as conversion, involves Far Infrared rays penetrating organic substances like the human body two to three inches for a uniform warming effect. The saunas are equipped with carbon heat emitter panels, a control panel for temperature and timer settings, and an MP3 jack or Bluetooth functionality for audio.

  • Session Duration: Average sauna session is approximately 20 – 30 minutes.
  • Cool-down Period: After 3 hours of continuous use, the sauna needs to be shut down for one hour.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel: Features temperature control (increase/decrease buttons), a timer (5-60 minutes), and a power/heat button. It also allows switching between Fahrenheit and Centigrade display.
  • Color Light Therapy System: The interior light can be turned ON/OFF, and users can scroll through different colors or white light selections (sequenced colors or continuous white light).

  • Ventilation: The ceiling vent can be operated in an open or closed position based on personal preference.
  • Hydration: Drink water before, during, and after sauna sessions to prevent dehydration.
  • Clothing: Minimal clothing is recommended for maximum effect as materials absorb infrared rays.
  • Towel Use: Use two towels: one on the bench to absorb perspiration and add comfort, and another to wipe perspiration. A third towel can be draped over legs if they feel cold. Never place towels over the floor heater.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Do not use if dizzy, sleepy, or uncomfortable.
    • Consult a medical physician if pregnant, have medical conditions (heart disease, high/low blood pressure, diabetes, circulatory problems), or are taking prescription drugs.
    • Avoid use immediately after strenuous exercise (wait at least 30 minutes).
    • Do not sleep inside the sauna.
    • Ensure proper electrical connections and dedicated circuits.
    • Unplug when not in use or use a heavy-duty surge protector.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Infrared saunas require very little maintenance. Wipe down with water using a damp, soft, and clean cloth. Do not use any chemical-based cleaning agents as they can be absorbed into the wood and released during use.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: Provides solutions for common issues such as:
    • No heat from emitters (check connections, temperature sensor, power supply).
    • Control panel malfunctioning (check "CTRL" wire harness connections).
    • Sauna showing no power (check wall outlet, circuit breaker, power supply RESET button, "CTRL" wiring harness).
    • CD player not working (ensure lock screws are removed).

Warranty:

  • 5-Year Limited Warranty: Covers wood, structure, heating elements, and electronics against defects in material and workmanship from the original date of purchase.
