Check that the outside exhaust hood damper door isn't stuck closed, and the exhaust isn't too long or has too many elbows, or uses flexible ductwork. Ensure the dryer has sufficient intake air, the tumbler speed is correct, and the blower impeller isn't blocked. Avoid overloading the dryer, check clothing labels for fabric content and cycle selection, and ensure clothes aren't too wet from the washer.

  If your Maytag Dryer (electric model) isn't drying, start by emptying the dryer and checking the heat setting. Ensure the motor spins freely and inspect the heating element for any openings. Remove any lint buildup around the drive motor and check if the Hi-Limit trips easily or is open. Also, verify that there is adequate voltage and that the regulating thermostat isn't tripping easily or open. Check for any blockages in the blower impeller and inspect the Thermistor. Finally, check if the drive motor start switch contacts are stuck closed.

Finally, the idler pulley could be jammed or stuck.

Also, check the Electronic Control Board and ensure the timer motor is getting 120V with no load or in cool down.
