    • C
      Crystal VargasAug 23, 2025

Why is my Maytag Dryer not heating up?
    • V
      vanessa18Aug 25, 2025
The drum may be turning, but you may not have heat. Electric dryers use 2 household fuses or circuit breakers. Replace the fuses or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call an electrician. Electric dryers require a 240-volt power supply, so check with a qualified electrician. For gas dryers, ensure the valve on the gas supply line is open.

    • C
      Colleen LongAug 26, 2025
First, ensure the dryer door is completely closed. Then, touch and hold the START/PAUSE button firmly for 2–5 seconds. Check your household fuses or circuit breakers; electric dryers often have two. Replace any blown fuses or reset tripped breakers. If it continues, call an electrician. Also, electric dryers need a 240-volt power supply, so check with a qualified electrician. Finally, make sure you are using a time-delay fuse.

Why is my Maytag Dryer making a thumping noise?
    • K
      Kara WilsonSep 18, 2025
This is due to temporary flat spots on the drum rollers, especially if the dryer hasn’t been used in a while. The thumping sound will diminish after a few minutes of use.

Why is the Check Vent indicator lit on my Maytag MED7100DC?
    • M
      Mary FloresSep 22, 2025
The lint screen or vent is clogged, crushed, kinked, or has too many turns. Clean the lint screen. Check the vent from the dryer to the wall for crushing or kinking, and ensure it’s free of lint and debris. Confirm the exterior vent exhaust hood is free of lint and debris. Verify your vent system meets the recommended run length and elbow count for your vent type. Try a Timed Dry heated cycle, and restart the dryer. If the message persists, have your entire home venting run cleaned.

    • S
      santosrobertSep 7, 2025
Recent painting, staining, or varnishing in the dryer area can cause odors. Ventilate the area, and rewash and dry the clothing once the odors are gone. For odors left in garments after wearing (steam models only), select Refresh.

How to stop Maytag MED7100DC Dryer from wrinkling clothes?
    • M
      Michele ClarkSep 4, 2025
Remove the load from the dryer promptly at the end of the cycle. If you have a steam model, select the Refresh Cycle to tumble the load with water and heat. Dry smaller loads that can tumble freely. For steam cycles, ensure water is connected to the dryer, the inlet hose is connected to both the faucet and dryer, and the water supply is turned on.
