Why are my clothes not drying properly in my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer?
    • D
      David ZavalaAug 19, 2025
Several factors can cause this issue. First, ensure the lint screen is clean before each load. A clogged exhaust vent or outside exhaust hood can also restrict air movement; try running the dryer on Air Only for 5–10 minutes to check air movement. Also, make sure the exhaust vent isn't too long, doesn't have too many turns, and that you are using a 4" (102 mm) diameter vent material. Check that the dryer is level so clothes contact the moisture sensors, and select the correct temperature setting. Avoid overloading the dryer and ensure the room temperature is above 45ºF (7ºC).

What to do if my Maytag Dryer will not heat?
    • M
      Mr. Oscar HobbsAug 22, 2025
If the drum is turning, but there is no heat, first check your household fuses or circuit breakers, as electric dryers use two. Replace the fuses or reset the circuit breaker. For electric dryers, ensure you have a 240-volt or 208-volt power supply, consulting an electrician if needed. For gas dryers, verify that the valve on the gas supply line is open.

Why does my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer make a rattling or vibrating noise?
    • W
      wattslindaAug 23, 2025
This could be due to several reasons. Check for any small objects caught between the edges of the dryer drum. Also, ensure the dryer is properly leveled, with all four feet making firm contact with the floor, referring to the Installation Instructions if needed. Finally, clothing balled up in the dryer can cause vibrations; separate the items and restart the dryer.

What to do if my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer won't run?

      Ashley Henry PhDAug 26, 2025
First, ensure the dryer door is completely closed. Then, touch and hold the START button for 2-5 seconds. Check your household fuses or circuit breakers, as electric dryers often have two. Replace any blown fuses or reset tripped breakers. If issues persist, consult an electrician to verify you have a 240-volt or 208-volt power supply and that you are using a time-delay fuse.

Why is my Maytag Dryer load too hot?
    • S
      stephanie09Aug 27, 2025
The load may be too hot if it was removed before the cool down portion of the cycle was complete; allow the dryer to finish the cycle. Also, avoid using a Timed Dry cycle with a high temperature setting; instead, select a Sensor Cycle with a lower heat setting.

Why does my Maytag Dryer have lint on the load?
    • R
      Raymond PhillipsAug 29, 2025
The lint screen is likely clogged with lint. Clean the lint screen before each load.

How to fix wrinkled clothes from my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer?
    • J
      Joshua SmithSep 1, 2025
If clothes are wrinkled, try using the Steam Refresh Cycle (on some models) to tumble the load with water and heat, especially for loads of wrinkle-free cotton, cotton-polyester blends, common knits, and synthetic garments. Avoid tightly packing the dryer and dry smaller loads that can tumble freely. Results may vary depending on fabric type.
  • T
    Thomas PearsonSep 2, 2025
Why is the cycle time too short on my Maytag Dryer?
    • S
      Samantha MillerSep 2, 2025
This may be because the load isn't contacting the sensor strips properly during Sensor Cycles. Ensure the dryer is level, with all four feet firmly on the floor. Also, adjust the dryness level setting on Sensor Cycles, as increasing or decreasing the dryness level will affect the drying time.

    birdbradleySep 4, 2025
Why does my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer make a thumping noise?
    • S
      Sarah JohnsonSep 4, 2025
This is normal if the dryer hasn’t been used in a while. The thumping sound should diminish after a few minutes of use.
  • C
    Charles NicholsSep 6, 2025
Why does my Maytag MEDB765FW0 Dryer have stains on the load?
    • N
      Nicole AverySep 7, 2025
This is likely due to improper use of fabric softener. Add dryer fabric softener sheets at the beginning of the cycle, as adding them to a partially dried load can stain your garments.
