If the battery is dead, the trunk cannot be
unlocked and opened.
In this case, the trunk can be unlocked by
taking care of the dead battery situation.
Refer to Jump-Starting on page 7-23 .
If the trunk cannot be unlocked even
if the dead battery situation has been
resolved, the electrical system may have a
malfunction.
1. Close the convertible top.
Refer to Raising the Convertible Top
on page 3-37 .
2. Remove the windblocker.

3. Remove the fasteners on the right side
of the vehicle.
4. Partially peel back the cover on the
right side of the vehicle.
5. Turn and loosen the cap screws until
the screws start to spin free.
