Troubleshooting
1. Instrument makes a whistling sound.
Whistling (feedback) occurs when
amplied sound returns to the
microphone and is re-amplied.
Most hearing aids (even ones
costing thousands of dollars)
will whistle when not inserted
properly in the ear canal.
Try reinserting the Ear Dome
into ear canal so it ts better.
If that doesn’t work, try a different
Ear Dome.
Lower the volume.
If you still require more volume
to hear, try using a Closed
Ear Dome.
If whistling occurs after trying
a Closed Ear Dome, you might
require more gain (volume)
and should try the Traditional
Tubing System. (See Enclosed
Traditional Tubing System and
Manual.)
Check for cracks in Tubing,
Tubing Base (triangular end),
or Earhook (if using Traditional
Tubing) and replace if damaged.
