Troubleshooting
Use this basic guide to overcome any operational errors which may be encountered whilst using
your Medisafe SI Digital Cannulated Instrument Cleaner. If the problem remains unresolved after
consulting this guide then contact your supplier.

Problem Possible cause(s) and Solution(s)
No display on front
panel
Check that unit is connected to a live mains supply•
Check that the fuses tted in the fuse-holders located at the rear of •
the unit are intact
Note:• for continued safe operation, always replace fuses with
the same type and rating. If in doubt, consult a suitably qualied
electrician or your Medisafe distributor
No irrigation Check that drain lter is not blocked - replace if necessary•
Check for obstruction in the irrigation system by using a soiled hollow •
test instrument, run cycle to check cleaning efciency
No ultrasonic
activity
Check that unit is switched on and in operational mode•
Check lid is closed if interlock tted.•
Check water is up to ll level or a least to water sensor.•
Reduced
performance
Check that a genuine Medisafe basket is being used•
Check that basket feet are in place and making contact with bottom •
of tank.
If it is the rst cycle of the day then run a 15 minute “de-gas” cycle •
to remove any dissolved gasses
Check that genuine Medisafe 3E-zyme (non-foam) wash chemical is •
being used
Ensure that instruments are not excessively soiled•
Ensure that instruments are being cleaned within 2 hours of use•
Tank requires
excessive water to
reach full mark
Check that drain valve is not being held open by debris (seek advice •
or turn off unit)
