The MEE audio X20 are truly wireless in-ear headphones featuring active noise cancellation (ANC). These headphones are designed for users seeking a blend of wireless freedom, immersive audio, and the ability to minimize ambient noise.
The MEE audio X20 headphones provide a truly wireless audio experience, connecting to your device via Bluetooth. Their primary function is to deliver high-quality sound for music listening, phone calls, and other audio content. A key feature is the active noise cancellation (ANC), which helps to reduce unwanted background noise, making them ideal for use in noisy environments such as commutes, offices, or during travel. Each earpiece can be used independently as a single-ear headset, offering flexibility for calls or awareness of surroundings.
The package includes the X20 truly wireless earphones, a charging case, three pairs of eartips (small, medium, large), and a USB-C charging cable. Before first use, it's recommended to charge both the earphones and the charging case.
To charge the charging case, connect it to a USB port or a wall adapter using the provided USB-C cable. The charging case indicator light will blink red while charging and turn solid white when fully charged. To charge the earpieces, place both earpieces into the charging case and close the lid, or press the button on the case. The earpiece indicator lights will show a solid white while charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge for the earpieces typically takes about 1.5 hours.
For initial pairing, remove both earpieces from the charging case. The right earpiece will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by flashing alternating blue and white lights. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), open the Bluetooth menu and select "MEE audio X20" from the list of available devices. Once pairing is complete, a blue light on the earpieces will blink intermittently.
Proper fit is crucial for both sound quality and effective ANC. Select the eartips that provide the best sound and comfort for your ears. Identify the left and right earpieces (they are usually marked). Insert each earpiece into the corresponding ear, adjusting it until it fits flush and the eartip creates a seal in your ear canal. If the music sounds "tinny" or lacks bass, try a different size of eartips to ensure a better seal.
To enable or disable the ANC function, press and hold the touch panel on either earpiece for 2 seconds. A voice prompt will confirm the ANC status (on or off).
To power on the earpieces, simply remove them from the charging case. To power them off, place both earpieces back into the charging case and close the lid. Alternatively, you can manually power off each earpiece by holding the touch panel for 10 seconds.
Once paired, the X20 will automatically reconnect to the last paired Bluetooth device when removed from the charging case, provided the device is within range. If manual reconnection is needed, open your device's Bluetooth menu and select "MEE audio X20." The X20 also supports single-ear use; you can use either earpiece as a headset by leaving the other earpiece in the charging case.
The touch panels on the earpieces provide various controls:
If the X20 doesn't find a previously paired device when removed from the case, it will automatically enter pairing mode. To manually enter pairing mode for a new device, remove the right earpiece from the case, press and hold its touch panel for 10 seconds to power it off. Release the touch panel, then press and hold it again for 5 seconds until the blue and white lights flash, indicating pairing mode. Then, select "MEE audio X20" in your new device's Bluetooth menu.
While not explicitly detailed, it is generally good practice to keep the earpieces and charging case clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them down. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
If the earpieces become sweaty or damp, it is crucial to allow them to fully dry before storing them in the charging case. This prevents potential damage to the electronics and ensures proper charging.
If you experience issues or wish to clear all previous Bluetooth pairings, a factory reset can be performed:
When not in use, store the earpieces in their charging case to protect them and keep them charged.
To prolong battery life, avoid storing the device in extreme temperatures (below -10°C/14°F or above 45°C/113°F), including direct sunlight. Do not expose batteries to naked flames or other heat sources.
Avoid using headphones at high volumes for extended periods to prevent permanent hearing damage. Keep volume levels moderate. Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or operating machinery where awareness of surroundings is critical. Keep the device and packaging out of reach of children. Do not submerge the device in water; if it does get wet, ensure it is completely dry before powering it on. Do not attempt to disassemble the device, as there are no user-replaceable parts, and doing so will void the warranty. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
