2.12 Brush safety
Brushes should not be mounted on machines having a
speed in excess of the maximum permissable brush
speed.
Damaged brushes should not be used.
Rust discoloration or other signs of chemical or
mechanical changes of the fill material may cause
premature failure.
Brushes should be stored in suitable racks, containers or
boxes in such a manner that they are protected against
the eects of:
High humidity, heat, water or other liquids which
might cause damage to the brush.
Exposure to acids, or fumes from acids, which might
induce deterioration.
Any temperature low enough to cause condensation
on the brush when removed from storage to an area of
higher temperature.
Distortion of any of the brush components.
3 Assembly
3.1 To unpack the product
1 Lift the product out of the box.
2 Remove the packaging material from the product.
3 Release the length adjustment locking nut and rotate
the handle 90° (Figure 2).
4 Tighten the length adjustment locking nut.
3.2 To assemble the product
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
Warning! Do not attach the battery before the
product is fully assembled.
3.2.1 To attach the front handle
Put the front handle in the holder and tighten the front
handle locking screw (Figure 3).
3.2.2 To attach the battery
Warning! Make sure that the trigger is in its OFF
position before installing the battery.
Push the charged battery into the battery holder. Make
sure that the battery clicks into place.
Caution! Do not force the battery into the battery
holder.
3.2.3 To remove the battery
Push and hold the lock button on the battery and slide it
out of the battery holder.
4 Operation
4.1 To do before you operate the
product
Make sure that the product is not damaged.
Make sure that all screws are tight and that all safety
devices are installed correctly.
4.2 To choose the proper brush
The product is supplied with a plastic roller brush, a plastic
wheel brush and a metal wheel brush.
Use the soft roller brush to clean surfaces like wood,
composite or concrete.
Use the plastic wheel brush to remove simpler weeds in
paving stone joints.
Use the metal wheel brush to remove more resilient
weeds in paving stone joints.
Caution! Make sure that the brush does not damage
the surface to be cleaned.
4.3 To attach or replace the brush
(Figure 4), (Figure 5).
1 Release the locking screw that holds the brush with
the hex key.
2 Remove the used brush from the motor axle.
3 Attach the new brush on the motor axle
4 Tighten the locking screw with the hex key.
Note! Use a wrench to lock the motor axle in place while
you tighten the locking screw.
4.4 To adjust the length of the handle
1 Release the length adjustment locking screw
(Figure 1, position 8).
