Working position
Never stand in line with the saw blade in front of the machine – always stand to the side of the saw
blade. This protects your body against possible kickback.
Keep hands, ngers and arms away from the rotating saw blade.
Never put your arms in the way of the saw arm.
Crosscut sawing
1. Secure the workpiece in a way that is appropriate for its size.
2. Set the desired horizontal and/or vertical mitring angle.
3. Start the power tool.
4. Push the lever (3) and pull the handle (1) to slowly lower the saw arm.
5. Saw through the entire workpiece at a steady rate.
6. Turn o the machine and wait until the saw blade has come to a complete stop.
7. Slowly raise the saw arm.
Replacing the insert plate
The red insert plate (7) may become worn if the power tool is used for a longer period of time. Replace
defective insert plates.
1. Bring the power tool into the working position.
2. Unscrew the screws (8) with a Phillips head screwdriver and remove the old insert plate.
3. Insert a new insert plate and reinsert and retighten all the screws (8).
MAINTENANCE
NB: Before carrying out any work on the power tool, always pull out the mains plug. If the machine should
fail despite the care taken in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be carried out by an
authorised service centre.
Cleaning
For safe and proper working, always keep the power tool and its ventilation slots clean. The blade guard
must always be able to move freely and close. Always keep the area around the blade guard clean. Remove
dust and chips after each working procedure by blowing out with compressed air or with a brush.
Transportation
Before transporting the power tool, the following steps must be carried out:
Put the power tool into transport mode.
Remove all accessories that are not xed to the power tool. If possible, place unused saw
blades in an enclosed container or similar for transportation.
Carry the machine by the handle (13) on the sides of the saw table (11).
When transporting the power tool, only use the transport lock, never the protective devices.
