NOTE:
• This pump must be installed and maintained by qualied personnel and in accordance with
these instructions.
• Installation and operation must comply with current regulations and applicable standards.
• Pipes must be installed according to these instructions. Protect the pipes against frost in an
appropriate manner.
1. The pump’s inlet pipe should be as short and straight as possible. The pump should be
installed in a dry and well-ventilated area. It can be installed outdoors if tted with suitable
protection against wind and precipitation.
2. When installing the pipe system, both the inlet and outlet pipes must be equipped with shut-
o valves.
To think about when installing the inlet pipe
• Do not use soft tubing on the inlet pipe, since the under-pressure can cause the tube to be
sucked at.
• The bottom valve must be installed vertically, at least 30 cm above the bottom, to avoid the
suction of sand or stone (g. B2).
• Joints on the inlet pipe must be as straight as possible and joints must be sealed to prevent air intake.
• The inlet pipe must have a diameter at least as large as the suction port, to ensure sucient
water ow.
• Pay attention to the water level during use. The bottom valve must not be above the water
surface (g. B1).
• If the inlet pipe is longer then 10 m, or if the lifting height is greater than 4 m, the inlet pipe
must have a diameter greater than the pump’s suction port.
• Pipes must not load the pump mechanically.
• Install a lter on the inlet pipe, to prevent solid particles from entering the pump.
