Mounting the additional handle
(Fig. 7)
The additional handle (10) can be
attached both to the right or left side of
the chuck. Turn the additional handle
grip (2) counterclockwise until it can be
pushed over the chuck (1) onto the
clamping collar (8). Here the holder
cam (a) on the underside of the clamping
collar must engage in one of the 14
holder slots of the clamping ring (b).
A favourable working position can
be selected in this manner, and the
additional handle can at the same time
be secured against slipping caused by
vibration. Tighten the grip by turning it
clockwise until it is firmly attached to
the tool.
Setting the drill-depth stop
(Figs. 8a+b)
• Insert the drill bit and lock it in position.
• Undo the thumb screw (15) on the
additional handle (Fig. 7) by turning it
counterclockwise.
• Place the depth stop (3) into the
guide (c) in such a way (Fig. 8a) that
either the numbers or the millimeter
scale can be read off in the inspection
window (d) (Fig. 8b). Adjust the drill-
depth stop to the length of the drill
bit; to do this, press the drill bit against
a level wall.
• Read the value in the inspection window
of the depth stop and subtract the
desired drilling depth from this figure.
• The new value is set by sliding the
depth stop in the inspection window.
Fix the depth stop by turning the
thumb screw clockwise.
8 – Operation
Speed selection (Fig. 9)
To avoid damage or wear
to material, observe the
manufacturer’s speed
recommendations. Speed selection
with knob (5):
• Turn knob in direction „+“ until it
stops = highest speed.
• Turn knob in direction „–“ until it
stops = lowest speed.
Depending on pressure, the speed can
be controlled continuously on the On/Off
switch (6) up to the speed set on knob (5).
In continuous operation with the On/Off
switch locked, the machine runs at the
speed previously selected.
Setting type of operation (Fig. 10)
ATTENTION! Set any type of
operation only when the motor
has come to a complete stop!
To set the type of operation
required, press the lock
button on the selector
switch (9) and set the selector switch by
turning the arrow symbol clockwise
or counterclockwise to the type of
operation required. Release the lock
button to fix the selector switch in the
position selected.
Meaning of the symbols
1. – Drilling without hammer action
in wood and metal. To do this,
insert a conventional chuck (11)
with adapter (included in delivery)
into the chuck (1).
